Shoes Built Like You Want ’Em

Our custom assembly process allows for the choice of style, colors, sole type, and leather types—leathers that include the always beautiful and interesting exotics like ostrich and crocodile. The leathers we use are the best quality leathers available, each specifically selected. Erik has a well-practiced ability to read the leather as he builds the client’s shoe a stitch at a time around the shoe last (a last is a model set-up to match the customer’s foot).

All orders and measurements are kept on file to make sure each customer is provided exceptional and individualized service for years to come.

How do we do it? Savvy (and dedicated craftsmanship).

For example, we have come to understand through research and experience that the arch of the foot is not in the same location on both feet. For most people, feet vary in size up to one-half size between right and left foot. Therefore, we construct your shoes with the arch in the proper location for each foot, resulting in amazing comfort while preventing future foot problems.

Our WillyMoc fit system allows your feet to make their own footbed in the orthotic material that is between the layers of leather. This material conforms to your foot structure, yet doesn’t break down over time. We can also add arch systems to provide additional support and lessen fatigue in your legs and feet.

There is something you must understand about shoes and feet: something’s got to give. Either the shoe fits properly with no breaking in period and will deliver lasting support and protection—or the foot will break down to the shoe, damaging your feet, and that’s not a good thing.

It all begins with the careful measurements you supply when you return our measurement kit. These measurements and careful tracings, including arches and widths, guide us to the perfect fit...for each foot. We talk about the delicious comfort of a custom fit above, but know that such customization comes only from a shoe that is expertly cut and assembled, then tightly hand-sewn around a last (shoemaker’s model) tuned to your foot shape.

The hand craftman’s responsibility is to produce footwear that surpasses the quality of mass-produced footwear. The hand craftsman must perform as a custom footwear maker, exercising meticulous care, stitch by stitch, to produce a quality moccasin that combines classic styling with a custom fit and all-day comfort that no machine can duplicate.
